Christmas Greetings Message from Andrea Biondi

Dear Students, Tutors and our Mentors Colleagues,
Christmas is here once again, and I’m sure you all are looking forward to a thoroughly well-deserved break. I wish you all a wonderful holiday time with your family and friends and start the new year full of renewed energy.

I take this opportunity to thank you all for the hard work, commitment and support in educating our future Virgilio physician scientists. Our understanding of human health and disease has been redefined in the last decades, due in great part to revolutionary discoveries and innovations.

High-quality medical research is a cornerstone in the development of new and effective diagnostics and treatments that will lead to improved medical care and a better quality of life. For excellent healthcare provision incorporating all emerging innovations, well-educated medical researchers are an essential element. Virgilio is a small effort in that direction. I must confess it has been a real pleasure to witness the level of commitment in our students.

From our end, we are working towards outlining a viable proposal for an MD-PhD track. Hope to be able to move forward in this direction with some concrete steps in 2020.
Merry Christmas to you all, and a Happy New Year!

Best wishes,
Andrea Biondi
